Word Comprehension Test is an easy to use tool for hard of hearing people to check the effectiveness of weared hearing aids. A most interesting question asked by HOH (Hard of Hearing) people who wear aids is "How effective are my hearing aids?" "Can they be adjusted to help me hear better?" One of the methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of the aids is a Word Comprehension Test. During this test, the user will hear randomly selected words. The user must repeat or identify the words as he hears them. The percentage of the words that are correctly identified is the word recognition score. If the user does the test without hearing aids and then compares the un-aided score with the score achieved while using aids, then one can get an objective measure of how much the aids are helping during daily communication. The test can also be used by HOH people to determine how much of conversation they are missing without the help of hearing aids.
